Practicing Surface: Practicing Surface: This pad has two different materials on the same side. Half the surface is from rubber, producing a strong rebound for training stick control. The other half is a softer material (similar to a pillow/cushion), producing less stick sound and volume (useful for training strength and endurance of the hands).
In contrast to the ÖKE PRDS-12 DOUBLE SIDED PRACTICE PAD 12”, it is not necessary to flip the pad to have two separate practicing surfaces. It produces different sounds from the same side, providing an opportunity to practice rhythmical drum set phrases.
– Able to be mounted independently on a snare stand and can be used by placing it on a snare drum or a flat surface. There is a thin, soft material under the pad to prevent slides and unwanted noise caused by stroke vibrations.
