The Gamma Splash from the Soundscape series by Turkish Cymbals is a small, unhammered effect cymbal with a very shiny surface . The name "Gamma" is inspired by a gamma-ray burst —one of the most powerful electromagnetic discharges in the universe, triggered by a supernova or a collapsing star .

This mini cymbal also develops an extremely sharp, intense sound with a very short response . The short, shrill sustain provides a sparkling counterpoint to the otherwise dark, dry tones of the series. Ideal for quick effects, pointed accents , and creative timbres – especially in acoustic setups or percussive playing .
