At Turkish Cymbals, every hi-hat is made 100% by hand in Istanbul: cast from premium B20 bronze (80% copper, 20% tin), hand-hammered and lathed. Our range covers the entire sonic spectrum – from dark, dry hi-hats with a compact chick and controlled response to brighter, assertive models with a wide sound. For warm, dry stick sound in jazz, funk and soul, the Xanthos-Jazz and NJG series stand out with their crisp chick. For those seeking a sharp, cutting chick with authority in rock, metal or grunge, the Rock Beat and Rock Beat Raw series deliver the right energy. Dark, complex textures come from the Dark Hammer series, while the Vintage Soul series convinces in jazz and soul with its dark hiss and clear stick definition.

Size and build – what matters

The classic 14″ hi-hat offers the most balanced mix of chick, stick sound and volume. Smaller 13″ models react faster and sound crisper – ideal for funk, studio and precise playing – while 15″ hi-hats deliver more volume, depth and a wider chick. For special applications we also carry compact mini hi-hats for exotic accents, as well as quieter and effect variants for the practice room and creative setups.
