The Travel series by Turkish Cymbals, designed by American drummer Chris Wabich, was developed specifically for flexible use and mobile musicians. These cymbals stand out for a pure, warm and even sound – no matter which room or context they are played in. Every Travel cymbal is made by hand in Istanbul from premium B20 bronze.
Warm, even sound in a compact format
Perfect for the so-called "One-Trip-Gig": the cymbals are compact, easy to transport and fit effortlessly into almost any trolley or even under the seat. The Crash impresses with a warm attack and a broad tonal spectrum, the Flat Ride Sizzle offers a dry character with a fine sizzle-shimmer thanks to two sizzle rivets, and the Hi-Hat delivers a balanced chick with a compact character. Anyone seeking similarly warm, versatile cymbals will also find them in the Vintage Soul series. A larger, likewise unlathed flat ride – the very dry Atacama Precision Flat Ride – is available in the Soundscape series.
Musical styles and cymbals in the series
Whether in the studio, at acoustic sessions or on the road, the Travel series offers a versatile sound that adapts effortlessly to any situation, and is particularly suited to jazz-fusion, percussion, Traditional Jazz and World Music. Alongside the Crash and the Hi-Hat, the series includes a Flat Ride Sizzle as a dry, shimmering companion. An ideal partner for modern drummers who want to combine portability and tonal quality.
