Turkish Cymbals X-TR Dark Set – Complete setup
The X-TR Dark Set by Turkish Cymbals is a complete cymbal set from a single series: 14" hi-hat, 19" crash and 22" ride, plus a soft case. The X-TR Dark series is the dark voice of the X-TR family: Turkish Cymbals craftsmanship from Istanbul and modern production, combined with a large hammer pattern and a dark finish. The result is a full sound with deep overtones and a shorter sustain than Brilliant and Classic, while the Medium weight gives the cymbals a warm, driving tone. In terms of price, X-TR is one of the most affordable B20 series from Turkish Cymbals – worth a look for beginners and pros alike. In the USA, the series is known as Meta Dark: these are the same cymbals from Istanbul.
Set contents: 14" hi-hat, 19" crash, 22" ride and soft case
All the cymbals in the set share the X-TR Dark sound: full, warm and driving, with a short sustain and deep overtones. The 14" hi-hat delivers a full-bodied, earthy chick with trashy drive. The 19" crash combines a quick response with a big, dark body and, thanks to its short sustain, also works as a second ride. The 22" ride brings volume, a bell with excellent response and clear stick definition. And the soft case protects the cymbals on the way to rehearsal or a gig.
Applications: grunge, rock, funk, blues and jazz fusion
The X-TR Dark Set is aimed at drummers from beginner to pro who want a dark, matched setup that’s good value for money. In a grunge or rock band, the cymbals hold their own next to distorted guitars; on funk and blues grooves, they give your playing warmth and depth; and in jazz fusion, the crash doubling as a second ride adds extra tonal colours. You can also buy each model on its own, such as the 22" X-TR Dark Ride.
Craftsmanship from Istanbul – At the Best Price
Every X-TR Dark cymbal is made in the workshops of Turkish Cymbals in Istanbul from B20 bronze – 80% copper, 20% tin. The bronze is cast, hammered partly by hand and partly by machine, and then lathed. This combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern production ensures consistent sound quality across all sizes and models. At Cymballand, as the official partner of Turkish Cymbals, we bring the X-TR series straight to you – no middlemen.

Not only the cymbals are excellent but Bülent also gives the best advice and service!
Vielen Dank 🤗
Good dark, complex crash
Really dark, loud hihats, works good as secondary hats for blastbeats when set not too washy.
