Turkish Cymbals Cappadocia Series

The Cappadocia series by Turkish Cymbals takes its name from Cappadocia in Central Anatolia, one of the most fascinating landscapes in the world. Like this ancient region, shaped by wind and time, the cymbals combine character and depth. Made from B20 bronze, they offer a broad sonic spectrum with complex, earthy tones, a dry, medium-short decay and good response. Every Cappadocia cymbal is cast by hand in Istanbul, deeply hammered by hand and lathed. The deep hammering creates the dark hammer pattern and coal-black patina, and it makes the sound darker, drier and more controlled.

Earthy, dry sound with clear response

With their wide dynamic range, Cappadocia cymbals reproduce both light and powerful strokes clearly and with minimal overtones. The dry decay keeps the tone controlled and precise, while the complex, earthy tonal colours add warmth and depth. The result is a set of versatile cymbals that hold their own in dense arrangements as well as in intimate, quiet passages. With its earthy, dry character, the Cappadocia series suits jazz, funk and grunge rock – and also jazz fusion, Latin, soul and traditional jazz. The series includes the Cappadocia Crash in 17" with an earthy attack, the Cappadocia Ride in 22" with a dry wash and powerful projection, the Cappadocia Hi-Hat in 15" with a dark chick, and the Cappadocia Crash-Ride in 19" with a controlled wash. That lets you build a complete setup with a consistent sound from a single series.
