The small hi-hat is the specialist for fast, intricate patterns in funk, fusion and electronically influenced productions. As an auxiliary hi-hat next to a 14" it opens up a second, brighter sound layer – and in the studio its tight sound sits perfectly in the mix without blocking frequencies.
