Turkish Cymbals Stack Series

The Stack series by Turkish Cymbals consists of a single model, the Turkish Cymbals Stack: two B20 bronze cymbals resting one above the other. A crash from the Sirius series sits on top, with a china from the Sehzade series below; each has six equally sized, machine-made holes. Both of them are cast and hand-hammered in Istanbul.

Dark, dry and clappy

As a pair, the Sirius Crash and Sehzade China sound dark, dry and explosive. They knock against one another when played, so every stroke is over quickly – with a clap like something out of a drum machine. The wing nut lets you decide whether the Stack sounds clipped and metallic or has more body and sustain.

Applications and sizes

The Stack is most at home in rock, grunge and jungle, in electronic music and in soundtrack work. It comes in three size combinations: the largest sounds fullest, the smallest most direct and shortest. You can also split it up and play the two cymbals separately; on the smallest Stack, the crash then becomes an effect splash and the china a mini china.
