The X-TR Dark series by Turkish Cymbals captivates with a unique, large hammering pattern and a darker finish. It produces a full-bodied sound with shorter sustain and deep overtones – the dark voice of the X-TR family, combining traditional craftsmanship with a modern B20 bronze design. Every X-TR Dark cymbal is made by hand in Istanbul from premium B20 bronze.

Dark, full-bodied sound with a driving character

The Medium cymbals deliver warmth with forward momentum: the hi-hat offers a deeper, darker, trashy character – warm overtones with drive. The crash impresses with a warm, dark sustain – cutting, without excessive brilliance – and thanks to its controlled character it also works superbly as a secondary ride. The ride is dark with a deep, driving character: excellent bell response and a medium wash provide grounded precision with controlled definition. For a comparison within the family: the X-TR Brilliant series sounds brighter and more assertive, the X-TR Classic series warmer and more elegant.

With its dark, driving character, the X-TR Dark series is ideal for grunge, rock, funk and blues – and equally at home in jazz-fusion. The series includes a Crash in 19" with a warm, dark sustain, a Hi-Hat in 14" with trashy drive, a Ride in 22" with excellent bell response, and a complete Set including a softcase.
