Turkish Cymbals Jazz Hi-Hat Light – Warm chick, delicate response
Lighter, more sensitive, with a slightly softer chick: the Jazz Hi-Hat Light is a Thin pair of hi-hat cymbals. It shares the deep hammer marks and the Traditional finish with the Jazz Hi-Hat, and it responds to even the gentlest touch.
Sound character: controlled chick, light wash
The chick comes through warm and controlled – a little softer than on the Medium-Thin Jazz Hi-Hat, but precise. On the closed hi-hat, stick strokes sound delicate, and even the smallest nuances remain audible. Opened up, the wash is light and fades quickly.
Applications: traditional jazz, jazz-fusion, soul, R'n'B and funk
The Jazz Hi-Hat Light is made for drummers with a light touch: for brushes and sticks in traditional jazz, for fast figures in jazz-fusion passages, for warm grooves in soul and R'n'B, and for intricate sixteenths on the closed hi-hat in funk. If you need a sharper chick, go for the Medium-Thin Jazz Hi-Hat.
Craftsmanship from Istanbul – At the Best Price
Every Jazz cymbal is made in the workshops of Turkish Cymbals in Istanbul, where handmade B20 bronze cymbals have been crafted for more than 25 years. The bronze – 80% copper, 20% tin – is cast by hand, heated in traditional furnaces and hammered by experienced master craftsmen, stroke by stroke; in the process, the Jazz series cymbals are given deep hammer marks. After that, every cymbal is lathed all over and receives a Traditional finish. Because casting and hammering are done by hand, each one sounds just a little different. At Cymballand, as the official partner of Turkish Cymbals, we bring this craft straight to you – no middlemen.
