The Jazz series by Turkish Cymbals is designed for musicians seeking an expressive, sensitive and nuanced sonic spectrum. Both surfaces are intensively hand-hammered to create a deep structural complexity; after the first forging step, large, deep dents are additionally worked into the top before the cymbal is lathed. Every Jazz cymbal is cast by hand in Istanbul from premium B20 bronze: an elaborate process that gives the series its warm, defined sound.
Warm, defined sound with a fine response
The deep hammer strikes and the lathed bell give the Jazz cymbals a warm, focused tone with a musical sustain and clear articulation. The result is maximum dynamics and expressiveness at minimal volume – ideal for sensitive, demanding playing. Anyone seeking similarly warm, traditionally finished cymbals will also find them in the Millennium and Vintage Soul series.
Musical styles and cymbals in the series
With its warm, sensitive character, the Jazz series is especially suited to traditional jazz, fusion, bop and experimental styles. The series includes a Crash with a warm attack and musical sustain – also as a Crash Thin with a fast, sensitive response –, a Hi-Hat with a sharp chick and warm character (also as a Hi-Hat Light), and a Ride with a warm wash and clear articulation, also as a Ride Light with an open wash. This lets you build a complete, sensitive setup from a single series.

Die Hi-Hats klingen wirklich sensationell gut, ich bin total begeistert.
Einen Stern Abzug gibt es wegen der unprofessionellen und unzureichenden Verpackung. Die Becken wurden ohne Polsterung einfach nur lieblos in einer Plastiktüte in einem viel zu großen Karton verschickt. Da beide Becken Sizzles haben, kamen die Becken entsprechend verkratzt an. So etwas darf einem Händler nicht passieren.

Aber zur Verpackung: Du hast absolut recht, und wir möchten uns dafür aufrichtig entschuldigen. Die Becken erreichen uns aus der Türkei leider oft in genau dieser Art verpackt, und wir haben sie in diesem Fall so weiterverschickt, wie sie bei uns ankamen. Das war ein Fehler, der uns nicht passieren darf – gerade bei Becken mit Sizzles ist eine ordentliche Polsterung absolut notwendig.
Wir werden künftig deutlich mehr Sorgfalt auf die Verpackung legen und sicherstellen, dass so etwas nicht noch einmal vorkommt.
