What is a Flat Ride?
A flat ride – also known as a bell-less ride – is a ride cymbal without a conventional bell. This flat construction produces an extremely dry, percussive stick sound with minimal wash – ideal for drummers seeking a controlled, short ride sound without bell dominance. The FX Silence Flat Ride in 20" combines this characteristic flat ride sound with the volume reduction of the FX Silence series: 50% quieter at full B20 playing feel.
