The Jazz Ride in 20" and 21" is the centrepiece of the Jazz series. Its sound is warm and dark with a smooth, balanced wash – ideal for jazz in all its facets. The stick sound is clear and articulate, with a bright, lathed bell that delivers a clean bell tone for rhythmic accents. The wash is rich but controlled – sufficient for a full, musical sound without overloading the mix. Thanks to the deep hammer strikes of the Jazz series the ride responds to different playing techniques with remarkable nuance: a light brush stroke sounds different from a firm stick strike. The 20" model is somewhat faster to respond, the 21" model offers more volume and depth.
