Turkish Cymbals Rock Beat China – Aggressive trash, fast decay
Aggressive yet still musical, the Rock Beat China is a china cymbal in Medium-Thin.
Sound character: explosive trash, warm tone
When you hit it, the China all but explodes, delivering an aggressive, trashy sound. Its tone is bright and warm at the same time. Thanks to the typical china shape, it decays faster than a crash. The 14" puts down short, dry accents, while the larger models bring more body and projection.
Applications: blues, contemporary, progressive and rock
In progressive rock, you play grooves directly on the China or hit hard accents in breaks; in rock, it gives the chorus extra bite. For blues numbers and contemporary songs, it brings an edgy colour that you can use exactly where it counts. With the Rock Beat Splash and the Rock Beat Crash Thin, you have more accent cymbals from the same series at hand.
Craftsmanship from Istanbul – At the Best Price
Every cymbal in the Rock Beat series is made in the workshops of Turkish Cymbals in Istanbul, where handmade B20 bronze cymbals have been crafted for more than 25 years. The bronze – 80% copper, 20% tin – is cast by hand, heated in traditional furnaces and hammered by experienced master craftsmen, stroke by stroke. Once the cymbal has been lathed, it is polished by hand to a mirror gloss. This polishing compresses the bronze and gives the cymbal its bright sound. Because casting and hammering are done by hand, each one sounds just a little different. At Cymballand, as the official partner of Turkish Cymbals, we bring this craft straight to you – no middlemen.
