Turkish Cymbals FX Silence Crash – Quiet crash accents
The FX Silence Crash by Turkish Cymbals is a quiet crash cymbal for accents while you practise – without instantly filling the whole room. A machine drills numerous fine holes into the bow and bell; together, they take away about half of the material. That makes this Thin cymbal about 50% quieter than a regular crash.
Sound character: short, controlled trash
The FX Silence Crash plays like a normal crash. The accent is short and fades quickly: a controlled trash, a little like an effect cymbal – only much quieter. Size determines pitch: a 14" crash sounds higher, an 18" crash lower.
Applications: fills and accents at low volume
You can practise fills and accents on the FX Silence Crash even in a flat. In lessons, in your home studio and at quiet gigs, too, it lets you set your accents – at about half the volume of a standard crash. Students in particular get to play their crash hits on real B20 bronze this way. If you want, it can also be stacked. For the groove to go with it, there’s the FX Silence Hi-Hat.
Craftsmanship from Istanbul – At the Best Price
Every FX Silence cymbal is made in the workshops of Turkish Cymbals in Istanbul, where handmade B20 bronze cymbals have been crafted for more than 25 years. Each cymbal is cast by hand from B20 bronze (80% copper, 20% tin), then lathed and given a Traditional finish; the fine holes are drilled by a machine. At Cymballand, as the official partner of Turkish Cymbals, we bring these cymbals straight to you – no middlemen.
