Turkish Cymbals Jazz Hi-Hat Light – Delicate Control
The Jazz series by Turkish Cymbals is the answer to a timeless question: how does a cymbal sound that is completely in service of the music? Deeply hammered, with a characteristic surface full of pronounced hammer strikes and a traditional, non-brilliant finish, this series delivers a warm, dark and multi-layered sound that adapts like a chameleon to playing intensity and technique. A delicate brush stroke sounds different from a firm stick strike – and that is precisely what makes these cymbals so musical.
Sound Character: Light, Sensitive and Warm
The Jazz Hi-Hat Light in 14" is the lighter, more sensitive version of the Jazz Hi-Hat. The Thin construction makes this hi-hat an exceptionally responsive instrument that fully engages with even the lightest touches. The chick is warm and controlled – somewhat softer than the Medium-Thin model, but always precise and musical. Played closed the Hi-Hat Light offers a delicate, warm stick sound ideal for quiet, nuanced playing. Played open it unfolds an open, light wash with quick decay. For drummers playing in acoustic or semi-acoustic settings, the Jazz Hi-Hat Light is an excellent choice.
Applications: Traditional Jazz, Jazz-Fusion, Soul, R'n'B and Funk
The Jazz Hi-Hat Light is aimed at drummers who prefer a particularly sensitive and delicate hi-hat. In Traditional Jazz it is the ideal instrument for sensitive brush playing and differentiated, quiet playing. In Jazz-Fusion the Thin construction enables fast, fine rhythmic patterns. In Soul and R'n'B it sets warm, controlled chick sounds for heartfelt grooves. For drummers who love the Jazz series but prefer an even lighter and more sensitive response for more intimate playing, the Hi-Hat Light is the logical choice.
Craftsmanship from Istanbul – At the Best Price
Every Jazz cymbal is crafted in the workshops of Turkish Cymbals in Istanbul following a tradition that reaches back centuries. The B20 bronze alloy – 80% copper, 20% tin – is hand-cast, heated and deeply and intensively hand-hammered by experienced master craftsmen. The pronounced hammer strikes are no accident – they are the artisan heart of this series and produce the characteristic warm, complex tone. We at Cymballand are proud, as the official partner of Turkish Cymbals, to bring this craftsmanship directly to you – without intermediaries, at the best price.

Let customers speak for us
Vielen Dank 🤗
Good dark, complex crash
Really dark, loud hihats, works good as secondary hats for blastbeats when set not too washy.
Great Cymbal.
