Turkish Cymbals Lale Kardes Signature Hi-Hat – Loud, Dark and Loose
The Lale Kardes Signature Series by Turkish Cymbals is the work of one of the most fascinating personalities in the Turkish rock scene: Lale Kardeş – drummer of the bluesy garage-rock trio Ringo Jets – spent over a year collaborating with Turkish Cymbals to develop a series that embodies her very own sound. Inspired by the Blues and Heavy Rock tones of the 1960s and 70s, the result is a set of cymbals unmatched in size and character: large, loud, open and with a long, full shimmer. Every cymbal bears the Hançer logo – a dagger symbol that Kardeş drew herself. The series was featured in the renowned Modern Drummer Magazine in June 2018.
Sound Character: Loud, Dark and Loose
The Lale Kardes Signature Hi-Hat in 15" sets its own standard in size, volume and sonic character. The chick sound is loud, dark and loose – no precise, sharp sizzle, but a broad, open sonic moment with dark character that perfectly suits the vintage rock identity of the series. Played closed the hi-hat delivers a powerful, dark stick sound with pronounced dynamics. Played open a broad, voluminous wash unfolds that develops the character of a small crash cymbal. The 15" size gives the hi-hat more depth and volume than a standard 14" model.
Applications: Blues, Psychedelic Rock, Rock'n'Roll and Heavy Rock
The Lale Kardes Hi-Hat is the ideal instrument for drummers seeking a loud, dark hi-hat sound in powerful, vintage-inspired setups. In Blues the dark, loose chick gives the groove warmth and authenticity. In Psychedelic Rock the open wash creates a broad, atmospheric sound tapestry. In Rock'n'Roll and Heavy Rock of the 60s and 70s era, the hi-hat projects with maximum volume and character.
Craftsmanship from Istanbul – At the Best Price
Every cymbal in the Lale Kardes Signature Series is crafted in the workshops of Turkish Cymbals in Istanbul from the secret B20 bronze alloy – 80% copper, 20% tin – hand-cast, heated, hammered and lathed. These cymbals are the largest in the entire Turkish Cymbals range – a deliberate decision that underscores the vintage rock character of the series. We at Cymballand are proud, as the official partner of Turkish Cymbals, to bring this craftsmanship directly to you – without intermediaries, at the best price.

Let customers speak for us
Vielen Dank 🤗
Good dark, complex crash
Really dark, loud hihats, works good as secondary hats for blastbeats when set not too washy.
Great Cymbal.
