Turkish Cymbals Jazz Crash Thin – Light Elegance
The Jazz series by Turkish Cymbals is the answer to a timeless question: how does a cymbal sound that is completely in service of the music? Deeply hammered, with a characteristic surface full of pronounced hammer strikes and a traditional, non-brilliant finish, this series delivers a warm, dark and multi-layered sound that adapts like a chameleon to playing intensity and technique. A delicate brush stroke sounds different from a firm stick strike – and that is precisely what makes these cymbals so musical.
Sound Character: Fast, Sensitive and Articulate
The Jazz Crash Thin in 17" and 18" is the lighter, faster version of the Jazz Crash. The Thin construction provides an even more sensitive response and a more direct, brighter sonic character than the Medium-Thin model. It responds to the lightest touches while delivering a complete, musical crash sound. The decay is somewhat shorter than the Medium-Thin model, making the Crash Thin ideal for drummers wanting to place fast, successive accents without sonic overlap. The deep hammer strikes of the Jazz series remain audible even in the Thin version – the sound is warm, dry and complex, just in a lighter, more responsive form.
Applications: Traditional Jazz, Jazz-Fusion, Soul, R'n'B and Funk
The Jazz Crash Thin is aimed at drummers seeking a particularly responsive and sensitive crash cymbal. In Traditional Jazz it is ideal for quiet, differentiated playing with brushes and light sticks. In Jazz-Fusion the fast response enables complex, rhythmic crash patterns. In Soul and R'n'B it sets delicate accents with warm, organic character. For drummers who prefer the sonic world of the Jazz series but seek an even lighter and more direct response, the Crash Thin is the first choice.
Craftsmanship from Istanbul – At the Best Price
Every Jazz cymbal is crafted in the workshops of Turkish Cymbals in Istanbul following a tradition that reaches back centuries. The B20 bronze alloy – 80% copper, 20% tin – is hand-cast, heated and deeply and intensively hand-hammered by experienced master craftsmen. The pronounced hammer strikes are no accident – they are the artisan heart of this series and produce the characteristic warm, complex tone. We at Cymballand are proud, as the official partner of Turkish Cymbals, to bring this craftsmanship directly to you – without intermediaries, at the best price.

Let customers speak for us
Vielen Dank 🤗
Good dark, complex crash
Really dark, loud hihats, works good as secondary hats for blastbeats when set not too washy.
Great Cymbal.
