Turkish Cymbals Euphonic China

Turkish Cymbals Euphonic China – Exotic Complexity

The Euphonic China by Turkish Cymbals is a china cymbal that goes far beyond the typical trash profile. It combines a rich, exotic and complex sound with absolute control – fast, explosive and always musical. A china for drummers who place depth and character above mere noise.

The Secret of the Euphonic Series: Brilliant Edges, Matte Centre

The Euphonic series by Turkish Cymbals embodies a unique combination of two contrasting surfaces that together produce an extraordinary sound. The edges are high-gloss polished – a brilliant finish that ensures fast, direct response. The centre and bell, by contrast, are matte and unlathed – not raw, but carefully treated through a special acid bath and intensive hammering. This unlathed, matte surface produces a controlled, dark and full sonic character that differs fundamentally from classically lathed cymbals. The result of this combination: the brilliant edges deliver speed of response and clear attack, while the unlathed surface builds a round, deep and complex fundamental sound. A very labour-intensive manufacturing process – for a sound that deserves it.

Sound Character: Rich, Exotic and Controlled

The Euphonic China delivers a perfect blend of rich, exotic and complex sound. The attack is fast and explosive – the brilliant edges ensure an immediate, loud response. The decay is controlled and dark, with a unique sonic depth created by the matte, unlathed surface. The result: a china sound suited to both powerful, loud accents and subtle nuances – rare in a china cymbal. In sizes 17", 18", 19" and 20", volume and complexity increase with size: the 17" model is dry and direct, the 20" model offers more body and a broader sonic character.

Applications: Rock, Progressive Rock, Blues and Contemporary

The Euphonic China is made for drummers seeking a china cymbal with genuine musical character. In Rock it sets explosive yet controlled accents immediately audible in the mix. In Progressive Rock the complex, multi-layered sonic character is a creative tool for extraordinary cymbal patterns. In Blues it delivers exotic tonal colours with an oriental touch. In Contemporary and Mainstream it is a versatile effect cymbal for drummers wanting to give their setup an unmistakable character.
