Turkish Cymbals Euphonic China – Short and snappy
The Euphonic China by Turkish Cymbals is a china cymbal with a fast response and a short, controlled decay. As throughout the series, only the wide, lathed edge shines; the rest of the cymbal stays unlathed and matte. With its Medium-Thin build, it is one of the two lighter models in the series.
Sound character: fast, bright on the attack, dark on the decay
The first hit is bright and clear; after that, the Euphonic China fades quickly, growing darker as it goes – the typical china trash stays short rather than ringing on and on. So it works just as well for single accents as for continuous patterns. A 17" sounds tighter and drier, a 19" a little fuller.
Applications: rock, pop, blues, progressive and contemporary
The Euphonic China is meant for drummers who want to use a china as a controlled effect. In rock, pop-rock and modern pop, it delivers short, striking accents that make room again straight away. In blues, played sparingly, it adds well-placed touches of colour to a song. In prog, it highlights stops and rhythmic figures. If you want a longer decay, add the Euphonic Crash to your setup.
Craftsmanship from Istanbul – At the Best Price
Every Euphonic cymbal is made in the workshops of Turkish Cymbals in Istanbul, where handmade B20 bronze cymbals have been crafted for more than 25 years. The bronze – 80% copper, 20% tin – is cast by hand, heated in traditional furnaces and hammered by experienced master craftsmen, stroke by stroke. Then comes the two-part finish: lathing and polishing for the fairly wide edge, an acid bath for the bow and bell. Because casting and hammering are done by hand, every Euphonic cymbal sounds just a little different. At Cymballand, as the official partner of Turkish Cymbals, we bring this craft straight to you – no middlemen.
