Turkish Cymbals Euphonic Crash

Turkish Cymbals Euphonic Crash – Explosive Control

The Euphonic Crash by Turkish Cymbals combines two seemingly contradictory qualities: explosive directness and deep, dark control. Thanks to the unique Brilliant-Matte finish it responds immediately and powerfully – and fades more richly, fully and musically than conventional crash cymbals.

The Secret of the Euphonic Series: Brilliant Edges, Matte Centre

The Euphonic series by Turkish Cymbals embodies a unique combination of two contrasting surfaces that together produce an extraordinary sound. The edges are high-gloss polished – a brilliant finish that ensures fast, direct response. The centre and bell, by contrast, are matte and unlathed – not raw, but carefully treated through a special acid bath and intensive hammering. This unlathed, matte surface produces a controlled, dark and full sonic character that differs fundamentally from classically lathed cymbals. The result of this combination: the brilliant edges deliver speed of response and clear attack, while the unlathed surface builds a round, deep and complex fundamental sound. A very labour-intensive manufacturing process – for a sound that deserves it.

Sound Character: Explosive, Dark and Full

The Euphonic Crash delivers an explosive, powerful attack with a dark, full decay. The brilliant edges ensure a lightning-fast, loud response – the cymbal opens instantly and with full energy. The subsequent decay is rich, complex and darkly coloured: the unlathed, matte surface creates a round, deep fundamental sound that gives the crash its character. In sizes 17", 18" and 19", the sonic profile varies noticeably: the 17" model is drier and more direct, the 19" model offers more volume and a longer, fuller decay.

Applications: Rock, Progressive Rock, Blues and Contemporary

The Euphonic Crash is ideal for drummers seeking a powerful crash sound with musical character. In Rock it projects with power and a dark sonic character that clearly sets it apart from brighter crash cymbals. In Progressive Rock the multi-layered decay offers creative possibilities for dynamic accents. In Blues the warm, dark fundamental creates an emotional connection to the style. In Contemporary and Mainstream the combination of explosiveness and control works equally well in the studio and live.
