Turkish Cymbals Cappadocia Ride

Turkish Cymbals Cappadocia Ride – Earthy Precision

The Cappadocia series by Turkish Cymbals takes its name from one of the most fascinating landscapes in the world: Cappadocia in central Anatolia – a world of volcanic rock, ancient cave cities and thousands of years of history. Like the landscape it is named after, this series combines unmistakable character with timeless depth. The unique dark hammering pattern and charcoal-black patina of the Cappadocia cymbals are not merely visually extraordinary – they are the direct expression of their earthy, dry and deeply musical sonic character.

Sound Character: Dry, Articulate and Expressive

The Cappadocia Ride in 22" is the centrepiece of the series – a ride cymbal that carries its earthy character in every note. The stick sound is dry and clearly defined, with a dry wash at the shoulder and minimal shimmer. The low-pitched, pronounced bell delivers a rich, deep bell tone that structures the groove without dominating. The Cappadocia Ride does not sound like a gleaming studio product – it sounds like an instrument with history and soul. This organic character makes it a cymbal that drummers either love immediately at the first stroke, or simply do not understand.

Applications: Jazz, Funk and Grunge-Rock

The Cappadocia Ride is a cymbal for musicians who place depth above brilliance. In Jazz the dry, articulate stick sound impresses with fine dynamics – the cymbal responds to every nuance of playing. In Funk the dry shoulder delivers clear, rhythmic patterns without unnecessary wash. In Grunge-Rock the cymbal unleashes a raw, earthy-dark power that is perfectly suited to the sound of the genre. Thanks to its suitability across all dynamic ranges – from the faintest brushes to powerful stick attacks – the Cappadocia Ride is a true all-rounder that works equally well in the studio and on stage.

Craftsmanship from Istanbul – At the Best Price

Every Cappadocia cymbal is crafted in the workshops of Turkish Cymbals in Istanbul following a tradition that reaches back centuries. The secret B20 bronze alloy – 80% copper, 20% tin – is hand-cast, heated in traditional furnaces and hammered thousands of times by experienced master craftsmen. The characteristic dark hammering pattern of the Cappadocia series is the result of a unique finishing process – each cymbal bears the unmistakable signature of the master who shaped it.
