The NJG series (New Jazz Generation) by Turkish Cymbals takes a new approach to jazz cymbal sound: dry, dark, controlled and short. The core of this series is its unique surface – a brush-like finish that creates an even, matte and granular texture on both sides of the cymbal. This texture shortens sustain, reduces uncontrolled overtones and produces an earthy, focused tonal character unreachable with polished or traditional cymbals. The stick sound remains warm and musical – the NJG series sounds dark and controlled without becoming sterile or lifeless.
