The Studio series by Turkish Cymbals is an exceptional series with a three-part surface structure that equally defines sound and appearance: bell and edge are polished raw – unlathed, without visible hammer strikes – and give the cymbal a warm, organic fundamental character. The middle bow area is fully lathed and brilliantly polished – it provides clarity, projection and brightness. The underside is fully lathed and brilliant. The result: a clean, powerful sound that moves effortlessly between Rock, Pop, Funk, Contemporary, R’n’B and Jazz – both in the studio and on stage.
Sound Character: Light, Open and Sensitive
The Studio Hi-Hat Light in 14” is the lighter, more sensitive version of the Studio Hi-Hat. The Thin construction produces a faster, more open response – ideal for drummers seeking a particularly sensitive hi-hat for nuanced, dynamic playing. The chick sound is somewhat softer and more open than the Medium-Thin model, but fully retains the characteristic Studio sound with warm bell and edge.
