The Travel series by Turkish Cymbals – developed in close collaboration with Jazz/Rock/Pop touring drummer Chris Wabich – is the answer to a very practical question: how do you travel with professional, handcrafted B20 cymbals without any problems at the airport? The cymbals of the Travel series are compact enough for carry-on luggage or under an aircraft fold-down seat – and yet professional enough to handle any performance. Wabich puts it simply: “Just take whatever else you need – with these cymbals, the gig is covered.” The goal: to deliver an even, pure and warm sound in any room.
Sound Character: Warm, Pure and Balanced
The Travel Crash in 17” and 18” carries the characteristic sound of the Travel series: warm, pure and even in any room. The traditional finish with wide lathing – similar to the Vintage Soul – gives the crash a warm, musical sound quality with fast response and balanced decay. The 17” model is more direct and drier, the 18” model offers more body. Both models can be played confidently straight out of the box – Wabich paid particular attention to tonal consistency during development.
