Turkish Cymbals Ephesus Ride – Clear ping, dark bell
The Ephesus Ride by Turkish Cymbals is a ride cymbal with a clear, strong ping and a dark, raw bell. After it has been hammered by hand on both sides, its surface is lathed ever so finely, leaving it looking almost smooth. The result is a metallic, assertive sound with a warm B20 core. Its Medium-Heavy build already comes close to Heavy and gives the ping substance.
Sound character: clear and powerful, with a dark bell
Played on the bow, the Ephesus Ride delivers a clearly defined stick sound with direct response. The ping has real strength and cuts through the mix effortlessly, while the wash stays controlled. The raw, unlathed yet hammered bell sounds big and dark – loud enough for distinctive bell accents, without ringing brightly.
Applications: metal, progressive and rock
The Ephesus Ride is aimed at drummers looking for a ride cymbal with bite and a distinct voice. In metal, the ping stays precise and audible even in the densest guitar mix. In prog, the dark bell lends itself to melodic, rhythmic bell patterns. In rock, it holds its own on any stage. For more volume, an even more pronounced ping and a stronger bell, go for the heavier Ephesus Ride Heavy.
Craftsmanship from Istanbul – At the Best Price
Every Ephesus cymbal is made in the workshops of Turkish Cymbals in Istanbul, where handmade B20 bronze cymbals have been crafted for more than 25 years. The bronze – 80% copper, 20% tin – is cast by hand, heated in traditional furnaces and hammered on the top and bottom by experienced master craftsmen, stroke by stroke. After that, the surface is lathed very finely while the bell stays raw; an extra-fine re-hammering with special hammers completes the process. Because casting and hammering are done by hand, every Ephesus cymbal sounds just a little different. At Cymballand, as the official partner of Turkish Cymbals, we bring this craft straight to you – no middlemen.

Not only the cymbals are excellent but Bülent also gives the best advice and service!
Vielen Dank 🤗
Good dark, complex crash
Really dark, loud hihats, works good as secondary hats for blastbeats when set not too washy.
