Turkish Cymbals Rock Beat Raw Ride Rock – Heavy, loud, present
The Rock Beat Raw Ride Rock is thicker and heavier than the Rock Beat Raw Ride, and it's the series' only ride cymbal in the Heavy weight class.
Sound character: more volume, longer sustain
Because it's heavier, the Ride Rock has more volume and presence than the Ride, and it rings out longer. The ping is precise, and the big, strong bell sounds bright. However loud the band gets, you can keep this cymbal reliably in check.
Applications: blues, grunge, metal, progressive and rock
Continuous eighth notes in metal and rock are what the Ride Rock was made for: the ping stays audible over guitars and bass. On the big, bright bell, you play striking figures in progressive rock, and in loud grunge or blues passages it gives you a stable foundation. The Rock Beat Raw Ride weighs less and is Medium-Heavy; pure bell accents come from the Rock Beat Raw Big Bell.
Craftsmanship from Istanbul – At the Best Price
Every cymbal in the Rock Beat Raw series is made in the workshops of Turkish Cymbals in Istanbul, where handmade B20 bronze cymbals have been crafted for more than 25 years. The bronze – 80% copper, 20% tin – is cast by hand, heated in traditional furnaces and hammered by experienced master craftsmen, stroke by stroke. As with the Kurak series, the bow and bell remain unlathed; unlike the Kurak, however, the cymbal is finally polished to a mirror gloss. On both sides, the hammer marks show through beneath the gloss. Polishing compacts the bronze, and the sound turns bright. Because casting and hammering are done by hand, each one sounds just a little different. At Cymballand, as the official partner of Turkish Cymbals, we bring this craft straight to you – no middlemen.
