Turkish Cymbals Rock Beat Ride Rock – Strong ping, powerful bell
The Rock Beat Ride Rock is the heaviest and loudest ride in the Rock Beat series. This ride cymbal is crafted from thick material, in the Heavy weight class.
Sound character: lots of power, bright tone
Thanks to its thick, heavy material, the Ride Rock has a stronger ping and a more powerful bell than the Rock Beat Ride. Every stroke comes through clearly, and even on big, loud stages the cymbal stays under control. It sounds just as bright as the other Rock Beat cymbals, only with more muscle.
Applications: blues, contemporary, progressive and rock
When the band really turns it up, the Ride Rock shows what it was built for: quarter notes on the bell in rock, and in progressive rock a ping that sits on top of even dense riffs. In blues and contemporary styles, too, it makes sure you're heard in the hard-hitting passages. The lighter alternative in Medium-Thin is the Rock Beat Ride; for crash accents, add the Rock Beat Crash.
Craftsmanship from Istanbul – At the Best Price
Every cymbal in the Rock Beat series is made in the workshops of Turkish Cymbals in Istanbul, where handmade B20 bronze cymbals have been crafted for more than 25 years. The bronze – 80% copper, 20% tin – is cast by hand, heated in traditional furnaces and hammered by experienced master craftsmen, stroke by stroke. Once the cymbal has been lathed, it is polished by hand to a mirror gloss. This polishing compresses the bronze and gives the cymbal its bright sound. Because casting and hammering are done by hand, each one sounds just a little different. At Cymballand, as the official partner of Turkish Cymbals, we bring this craft straight to you – no middlemen.
