Turkish Cymbals Rock Beat Raw Crash – Hard, bright, explosive
The Rock Beat Raw Crash is built for loud music: a crash cymbal with a Medium-Heavy weight.
Sound character: hard attack, medium sustain
The Crash comes in with a hard, bright attack, then opens up aggressively, explosively and loudly. Its weight keeps it present even in loud bands. Because the surface is unlathed and has no lathing grooves, its sustain is medium in length. The bigger the Crash, the more volume it has, and the 22" has the most.
Applications: blues, grunge, metal, progressive and rock
In punk and metal, a crash has to hold its own against loud amps – and that's exactly what the Rock Beat Raw Crash does. It's the cymbal that announces the chorus in rock and grunge; in progressive rock and blues it delivers strong accents. The Rock Beat Raw Crash-Ride covers ride and crash at once, and the matching hi-hat is the Rock Beat Raw Hi-Hat.
Craftsmanship from Istanbul – At the Best Price
Every cymbal in the Rock Beat Raw series is made in the workshops of Turkish Cymbals in Istanbul, where handmade B20 bronze cymbals have been crafted for more than 25 years. The bronze – 80% copper, 20% tin – is cast by hand, heated in traditional furnaces and hammered by experienced master craftsmen, stroke by stroke. As with the Kurak series, the bow and bell remain unlathed; unlike the Kurak, however, the cymbal is finally polished to a mirror gloss. On both sides, the hammer marks show through beneath the gloss. Polishing compacts the bronze, and the sound turns bright. Because casting and hammering are done by hand, each one sounds just a little different. At Cymballand, as the official partner of Turkish Cymbals, we bring this craft straight to you – no middlemen.
