The Xanthos-Jazz series from Turkish Cymbals features a unique three-part surface structure: The bell and edge are raw and unlathed – heavily hammered, with an organic, dark texture. The middle playing surface (bow) is traditionally lathed with a natural sheen – no high gloss, no lacquer, just the natural brilliance of the crafted bronze. The underside is fully lathed and polished, giving the cymbal enhanced projection and tonal brightness. The result is a warm, controlled sound with a rich tonal palette: quick response, musical overtones, and balanced stick definition – versatile, deeply characterful, and highly musical.

The Xanthos-Jazz Crash in 16", 17", 18", and 19" delivers a warm, open crash sound with a rich tonal palette and swift response. The attack is direct and highly expressive – the natural surface of the traditional bow gives the crash an organic warmth that high-gloss polished cymbals simply cannot achieve. The sustain is deeply musical and perfectly balanced. The 16" model is drier and more direct, while the 19" model is more voluminous with a longer sustain.
