Turkish Cymbals Euphonic Ride – Dark and controlled
The Euphonic Ride by Turkish Cymbals is a ride cymbal with a dark, controlled wash and a warm, matte bell. Its hallmark is the two-part surface: the wide edge is lathed and polished to a high gloss, while the bow and bell are left unlathed and dulled to a matte finish in an acid bath. The matte area gives the sound depth and body; the polished edge adds a clear attack. It has a Medium-Heavy build; the wash stays manageable, and the stick sound keeps its shape.
Sound character: dark wash, clear stick, warm bell
Play on the bow and you get a direct, clearly defined stick sound. The wash carries the groove without sitting on top of it. The matte bell sounds warm and full: instead of a bright ping, you hear a round, deep bell tone. A 20" speaks more quickly, while a 22" sounds bigger and has more sustain.
Applications: rock, pop, blues, progressive and contemporary
The Euphonic Ride is built for drummers who want a dark but well-defined ride sound. Whether you play rock, pop-rock or modern pop, your ride pattern stays easy to hear without flooding the mix. In blues, its warm, full-bodied core tone goes nicely with a laid-back shuffle. In prog, the bow leaves room for fine dynamic shading. For a setup that hangs together, pair it with the Euphonic Hi-Hat.
Craftsmanship from Istanbul – At the Best Price
Every Euphonic cymbal is made in the workshops of Turkish Cymbals in Istanbul, where handmade B20 bronze cymbals have been crafted for more than 25 years. The bronze – 80% copper, 20% tin – is cast by hand, heated in traditional furnaces and hammered by experienced master craftsmen, stroke by stroke. Then comes the two-part finish: lathing and polishing for the fairly wide edge, an acid bath for the bow and bell. Because casting and hammering are done by hand, every Euphonic cymbal sounds just a little different. At Cymballand, as the official partner of Turkish Cymbals, we bring this craft straight to you – no middlemen.
