Turkish Cymbals FX Silence Ride – Quiet ride in B20 bronze
The FX Silence Ride by Turkish Cymbals is a ride cymbal for playing at low volume. Numerous tiny holes, drilled by machine, are spread across the bow and bell. Together, they remove about half of the material – which makes the cymbal about 50% quieter than a regular ride. Like every model in the series, it has a Thin build.
Sound character: ping, wash and bell – at about half the volume
Under the stick, the FX Silence Ride plays just like any other ride; the holes are so small that they don’t change how it responds to your stroke. Ping, wash and bell are all there – they’re simply quieter. Still, the sound isn’t bone-dry: you can hear the wash ringing along, but it stays short and controlled. Bell accents work the way you’re used to.
Applications: quiet practice, teaching and recording
As a practice cymbal, the FX Silence Ride is meant for anyone who would rather practise on real B20 bronze than on a pad – drum students in particular. At home and in lessons at a drum school, the volume stays within reasonable limits, and it holds its own in home recording and at quiet gigs, too. It’s also a good match for e-drums or a kit with mesh heads. And it isn’t tied to any one style. If you’re looking for a flatter, drier ride sound without a bell, take a look at the FX Silence Flat Ride.
Craftsmanship from Istanbul – At the Best Price
Every FX Silence cymbal is made in the workshops of Turkish Cymbals in Istanbul, where handmade B20 bronze cymbals have been crafted for more than 25 years. Each cymbal is cast by hand from B20 bronze (80% copper, 20% tin), then lathed and given a Traditional finish; the fine holes are drilled by a machine. At Cymballand, as the official partner of Turkish Cymbals, we bring these cymbals straight to you – no middlemen.

Not only the cymbals are excellent but Bülent also gives the best advice and service!
Vielen Dank 🤗
Good dark, complex crash
Really dark, loud hihats, works good as secondary hats for blastbeats when set not too washy.
