Turkish Cymbals Lale Kardeş Signature Crash – Explosive, with a long sustain
Like every cymbal in the series, the Lale Kardeş Signature Crash bears the dagger logo that its namesake drew herself. This crash cymbal takes its cue from the crashes rock drummers played in the 60s and 70s. It’s a Medium-Thin model, and its surface has a Traditional finish.
Sound character: direct attack, plenty of wash
After a powerful, direct attack, the Crash opens up explosively and rings out for a long time with plenty of wash. Tonally, it sits between bright and dark. The 18" comes across a little shorter and faster; the 20" sounds more voluminous and holds its sustain longer.
Applications: heavy rock, psychedelic rock, blues and rock'n'roll
You close out heavy rock riffs with a full-bodied crash, and in psychedelic rock you let it explode at the end of a long build-up. Turnarounds and final chords in blues get their accent from it, too, and so does the jump into the chorus in a rock'n'roll song. The Lale Kardeş Signature Ride and the Lale Kardeş Signature Hi-Hat complete the series.
Craftsmanship from Istanbul – At the Best Price
Every cymbal in the Lale Kardeş Signature series is made in the workshops of Turkish Cymbals in Istanbul, where handmade B20 bronze cymbals have been crafted for more than 25 years. The bronze – 80% copper, 20% tin – is cast by hand, heated in traditional furnaces and hammered by experienced master craftsmen, stroke by stroke. After that, every cymbal is lathed all over, bell and edge included, and given a Traditional finish. Because casting and hammering are done by hand, each one sounds just a little different. At Cymballand, as the official partner of Turkish Cymbals, we bring this craft straight to you – no middlemen.
