Turkish Cymbals – Buy Handcrafted B20 Cymbals

At Cymballand, everything revolves around handcrafted Turkish Cymbals from Istanbul – cymbals made of genuine B20 bronze (80% copper, 20% tin), hand-hammered and individually lathed. As the official Turkish Cymbals distributor in Germany, we bring you the complete range straight from the workshop: warm, traditional voices as well as modern, cutting cymbals for stage and studio.

Whether you're after a defined ride, an explosive crash, crisp hi-hats, delicate splashes or trashy china & effect cymbals – the hand-hammered B20 bronze delivers complex overtones and a lively, characterful sound that machine-made cymbals can't reach. Every cymbal bears the unmistakable signature of its maker.

Our series cover every style: the dry, earthy Kurak Series for jazz, funk and soul, the versatile Rock Beat Series for powerful sounds, the balanced Classic Series and the musical Millennium Series for studio and fusion. Founded by a drummer who has played Turkish Cymbals himself for over 20 years, we know exactly what matters in a great cymbal.

Frequently Asked Questions about Turkish Cymbals

What makes Turkish Cymbals special?
Turkish Cymbals are crafted in Istanbul by master hands from genuine B20 bronze – individually hammered and lathed, following a tradition passed down over generations. Every cymbal is unique, with its own character and complex overtones that machine-made cymbals can't reach. As the official Turkish Cymbals distributor in Germany, we deliver the complete range straight from the workshop.
What is B20 bronze – and how does it differ from B8?
B20 bronze consists of 80% copper and 20% tin – the classic bell bronze for high-quality, hand-hammered cymbals. The high tin content makes the material harder to work, but gives a warmer, more complex and more overtone-rich sound. B8 bronze (92% copper, 8% tin) is cheaper, usually machine-processed and sounds more direct but less nuanced. Every cymbal at Cymballand is made of genuine B20 bronze.
How do I find the right cymbal for me?
It depends on your style, your volume and the sound you want. As a guide: a ride sets the pulse, a crash adds accents, hi-hats define the timing, splashes deliver quick splashes of colour and china & effect cymbals bring trashy accents. Larger cymbals sound lower and fuller, smaller ones respond faster and higher. If you're unsure, just write to us – we've played Turkish Cymbals ourselves for over 20 years and will advise you personally.
Which series suits which musical style?
Our series cover every style: the dry, earthy Kurak Series for jazz, funk and soul, the powerful Rock Beat Series for rock and louder genres, the balanced Classic Series for almost any use and the fine, musical Millennium Series for studio and fusion. When in doubt, listen to the right sound in advance with Cymballand Virtual.
Can I listen to the cymbals before buying?
Yes. With Cymballand Virtual you can play and hear every cymbal online before you order – right on the product page and with no detours. That way you find the right sound without having to guess.
How does shipping work – and is it free?
We ship with DHL and deliver free within the EU. Your order goes out within 1–2 business days. Delivery then takes 2–3 days within Germany, 3–5 days to other European countries and 5–7 days to the rest of the world. We don't ship on weekends – orders placed on Friday go out on Monday. You can track your shipment online at any time, and you'll also receive a shipping confirmation by email.
Can I return cymbals?
Yes. You can return your cymbals within 14 days of receipt – provided they haven't been heavily played and are undamaged. A short email to us is enough, and we'll take care of the rest.
What warranty do I get?
We give a 2-year warranty on hi-hats and rides, and 1 year on crashes and splashes – in each case against manufacturing defects. So you can be sure you're getting a cymbal that lasts.
